Facilities: The cottage is well equipped with heating throughout and the cost of this heating and water heating is included in the rental price. The open fire in the lounge is very effective and burns coal or peat (both available locally).
Linen and towels are provided and are included in the price.

Amenities: March Cottage offers the best of both worlds; privacy, peace and beauty, whilst having Dunoon and Inverary within half-hour travelling (Glasgow is only an hour and a half away).
For local shops, the cottage is walking distance from the Post Office and general store, café and take-away (fish and chips, chicken etc.) and small off sales. The Creggans is a three star hotel offering fine cuisine and bar meals. The Clachan (the original village centre) has a pub (bar lunches) and a petrol station with a well stocked shop which sells provisions, coal, peat and even fishing tackle.
Days out are many and varied, including Inverary Castle, Inverary Jail, the James Newton Botanical Gardens, Dunoon Ceramics, oyster farms and a selection of day trips round nearby islands (March Cottage is on the road to the Isle of Bute ferry at Colintraive).
The immediate area is of historical, geological and botanical interest. Click here for a large map.
